Dr. József Béres, owner of the Béres Group, and his son Marcell Béres, President of Béres Pharmaceuticals, spoke openly and heartily about the heritage, challenges and future of the family business. Dr. József Béres senior, the legendary inventor, is synonymous with his invention, the Béres Csepp, which dates back more than half a century. As the former President of Béres Pharmaceuticals and owner of the Béres Group, his son Dr. József Béres not only built the company, but also created an ethos based on authenticity and responsibility. "Running such a large company is a huge responsibility. We always keep in mind that our decisions are for the health and quality of life of our people. This gives us strength in our daily lives," he shared.

The conversation also gave an insight into the life of Marcell Béres, for whom the family business has been a key factor since childhood. Even during his university studies, he was driven by the desire to one day carry on the legacy of the Béres name. After graduating, he spent ten years working in various areas of Béres Pharmaceuticals to gain a thorough understanding of the company's operations. "These ten years were extremely important for me because I understood what it really means to run a company like this. It is not just a business, it is a mission," he said.

Marcell Béres took over the chairmanship from his father in the autumn of 2024, making it the third generation of the family to take over the helm of the group. The generational change is not only exciting but also a complex challenge for the Béres family. Marcell Béres stressed that the energy and innovative outlook of the younger generation is key to the future of the company, while the experience and values of the older generation are essential to maintaining stability and credibility. "The key is to find a balance between tradition and innovation. This is the only way to ensure the company's success in a changing world," he stressed.

According to Dr. József Béres, the real strength of Béres Pharmaceuticals lies in the fact that family values and common goals provide a solid basis for all decisions. "My greatest pride is that every member of our family understands and feels what it means to take responsibility for people's health. This heritage is the most important thing I can pass on," she said.

On the day-to-day challenges, Marcell shared that finding balance is the most important thing for him. "With such a big responsibility, you can't be perfect every day.
